English Teacher - Beijing

This education consultancy in Hong Kong specializes in admission counseling and related training services for students aspiring for top-tier boarding schools and universities across North America and Europe. With branch offices in overseas, they service clients everywhere from Greater China to Southeast Asia. 


Responsibilities
•Teach English to primary and secondary school students via different media and settings: classroom vs. extracurricular; in-person vs. online; small group vs. one-on-one;
•Stimulate students’ intellectual curiosity through the process of learning English; develop critical thinking skills and nurture creativity;
•Establish students’ competence in presentation through expository writing and public speaking;
•Deliver English teaching over traditional and non-traditional platforms from grammar exercises, literature appreciation, story telling, to debates over current affairs;
•Assist in existing curriculum upgrades and new curriculum development.


Requirements

•Native English speaker preferred;

•Solid career history of teaching English to primary and/or secondary students under different classroom, extracurricular, and online settings is a huge advantage
•Love of the English language; excellent grasp of English grammar and writing skills;
•Passionate about teaching, motivating, and mentoring youngsters; innovative and constantly experimenting with new pedagogies;
•Broad liberal arts background; well read, thoughtful, interesting; able to connect the dots;
•Linguistics majors welcome; knowledge of Latin and Greek a plus.
•Base in Beijing.\
