Our client, an online travel service company built around AI technology, is looking for a marketing and business development professional to lead their expansion plan in Japan.
Responsibilities
Explore new opportunities in untapped market segments
Support the company’s expansion plan in Japan
Lead full cycle of business development activities
Understand the Japanese marketing and competitive environment to help Hong Kong and China partners explore business opportunities
Work with potential and existing business partners e.g. airlines, hotels, OTAs, shopping malls, restaurants, transportation and travel content platforms to achieve business objectives
Understand industry trends and evaluate their effects towards the company’s product development and partnership strategies
Work with digital marketing team on cross-selling and profit maximization opportunities
Requirements
Degree holder
Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B business development, partnership, travel IT solution or loyalty programmes
Strong knowledge in travel industry, e.g. airlines hotels, OTA, metasearch site and e-commerce platforms is highly preferred
Strong understand of the travel industry trend in Japan
Strong understand of Chinese traveler’s brhavious
Fluent Japanese and English is a must, able to speak Chinese and/or Korean is an advantage
Experience with startups is an advantage
Computer literacy, knowledge in e-commerce, CRM and/or database marketing is an advantage
Able to work under flexible hours and tight deadlines
Travel within the APAC region is required
