Japanese Speaking Finance Manager - Medical Technologies Maker

Company Overview
Our client, a medical technological MNC is looking a Japanese speaking high-calibre to join their expanding team.

Job Description
• Manage team's accounting activities and structure; maintain system, processes and procedures to support
• the reporting of financial reports
• Review financial reports prepared by team members to ensure integrity of the reports are prepared in
• accordance with corporate policies
• Maintain and execute an effective system of internal controls for areas of responsibility
• Make recommendations and influence processes and policies changes based on experience on a practical
• and detailed level
• Drive continuous critical analysis of existing systems and processes; identify need for process, system and
• policy changes
• Work with subject matter experts in different departments to drive required change management
• Act as the subject matter expert or process owner on major initiatives; lead complex, high‐visibility process redesign, systems improvement projects; develop and implement initiatives
• Propose solutions that may affect policy or the development of new control or processes
• Manage the work of team members, provide coaching, training and mentoring and manage performance
• Provide consulting advice to business partner or BPO processors; serve as a resource on matters that require specific technical, financial or subject matter expertise
• Contribute to big projects or lead a variety of moderate size projects. Assign tasks within projects among team members to achieve project objectives
• Identify and resolve unique issues of substantial significance that affect the integrity of controls and financial reports
• Research, develop and deliver both short and long‐term solutions

Requirements
• Degree holder in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified Accountant with a designation from a recognized accounting body (CPA etc.)
• US MNC exposure preferable with minimum 10 years of solid, hands on accounting or audit experience with managerial experience
• US GAAP, SOX 404 experience preferred.
• Strong skills in MS Excel.
• Practical knowledge in Hyperion /JDE would be an advantage.
• Ability to interact, influence and partner with leaders in a multi‐cultural environment.
• Excellent language skills with proficiency in spoken and written English and Japanese (Capable of carefully reviewing Japanese contracts/policies), other language proficiency would be a plus
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to business partners and outsourced service provider.
• High ethical standards and integrity and high sensitivity to numbers and details.
• Quick learner and resourceful self‐starter who does not require close supervision to meet tight deadlines, and enjoy a fast‐paced environment.
• Proficiency in project management skills and ability to lead in a moderate size project

Package:
• Salary: 50 - 60K
• Work Hours: Mon – Fri, 9 – 6 (Flexible)
